There is a counterfeit in YOUR church. SHE/THEY are a masterpiece of deception, a nearly flawless imitation of the real thing. I am talking about the woman who believes she has perfected the performance of godliness, but whose heart is a throne room dedicated to the worship of herself. The narcissistic woman pretending to be godly.

She is the most dangerous person a sincere Christian can encounter because she speaks the right language. She knows your values and she uses the very things you hold sacred as her primary weapons of manipulation. On the surface, she is everything you thought you wanted. She is pious. She is passionate. She quotes scripture. But in the quiet reality, you feel a soul crushing emptiness. You feel a constant sense of condemnation of not being good enough. You feel a spiritual fog that has settled over your life since you met her. And you are confused because her performance is so convincing that you have begun to believe the problem must be you. But the Bible tells us that a tree is known by its fruit. A performance, no matter how skilled, will always have cracks in the facade. A counterfeit, no matter how perfect, will always fail under the scrutiny of a trained eye. God has not left you defenseless. He has given you the tools to become a spiritual auditor, one who can discern the difference between the genuine article and the fake.

So, enter a deep biblical audit of the three great currencies of the kingdom, grace, truth, and authority. Because how this woman handles these three things will reveal the true allegiance of her heart. What do you think is the hardest thing to discern about a person's godliness at the beginning of a relationship? What is most easily not as it seems?

The first and most revealing audit you must conduct is the audit of grace. The entire Christian faith is built on this foundation. We are all broken, flawed sinners saved not by our own merit, but by the unearned unconditional grace of God through Jesus Christ. A woman whose heart has been truly humbled by this reality will be a conduit of that same grace to others, especially to the person she is in covenant with. A woman who is merely performing Christianity. A woman with a narcissistic heart will be incapable of this. She will weaponize weakness, both yours and her own. Sign number one, she uses your weakness as a weapon against you. A true daughter of God operating from a heart of grace will cover your failures in love.

As 1 Peter 4:8 says, And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

When you are weak, when you fail, when you sin against her, she may be hurt, but her ultimate goal will be your restoration. She will offer forgiveness freely because she knows how much she has been forgiven, but the counterfeit cannot do this. A woman with a narcissistic heart is a silent scorekeeper. She will store a meticulous, detailed record of every mistake you have ever made, every foolish word you have ever spoken, every time you have let her down. And she will keep this record not for the purpose of forgiveness, but for the purpose of future ammunition. In your next argument, when you try to hold her accountable for something, she will pull a file from her mental cabinet and say: "You have no right to talk to me about my tone of voice when you remember last month. you. Your past failure is used as a weapon to silence your present legitimate concern. She doesn't cover your sin in grace. She preserves it in bitterness, waiting for the perfect moment to use it against you.

Next: She re-brands her own weakness as a permanent identity. A woman of God who is confronted with her own sin with a flaw in her character will through the conviction of the Holy Spirit eventually be brought to a place of repentance. She will see her impatience, her pride, or her selfishness as sin to be warded against and put to death. The counterfeit does something far more insidious. She takes her sinful character flaw and she re-brands it as an unchangeable part of her identity, demanding that you accommodate it. Her chronic impatience is not a sin to be repented of. It's just how she's wired. Her controlling nature is not a sin. She is just a strong woman who knows what's best. Her emotional outbursts are not a lack of self-control. She is just a passionate person and you need to be less sensitive. By rebranding her sin as her identity, she absolves herself of all responsibility to change. It becomes a job to manage her sin. You are expected to walk on eggshells to avoid triggering her passion. You are expected to submit to her strong nature. She does not crucify her flesh. She demands that you build a comfortable shrine around it. The second audit is the audit of truth. For a true believer, the word of God is a lamp, a sword, and a mirror. It is our ultimate authority.

But for a person who is performing godliness, the Bible is not an authority to be submitted to. It is a tool to be used. How a woman relates to the word of God is one of the clearest indicators of the state of her heart.

Next: she uses the Bible as a hammer, not a mirror. A woman who truly loves God loves his word even when it exposes the darkness in her own heart. She allows the Bible to be a mirror to show her where she needs to change, to repent, to grow. She submits to its authority.

The counterfeit, the spiritual narcissist, does the opposite. For her, the Bible is not a mirror for self-examination. It is a hammer for winning arguments. She is often remarkably skilled with scripture. She can quote verses, construct theological arguments, and use Christian ease with stunning proficiency. But watch how she uses it. She almost always uses it to prove how you are wrong, to justify her own desires, or to condemn those with whom she disagrees. The word of God in her hands becomes a weapon of pride. If you try to use scripture to gently correct her, she will have a dozen other verses twisted out of context to prove why that passage doesn't apply to her. For her, the Bible is not a source of truth to be humbly received, but a library of ammunition to be expertly deployed in the service of her own ego.

Next: She prioritizes new revelations over ancient scripture. A heart that has made itself its own god cannot ultimately submit to an external authority, even the Bible. So, it must find a way to create a higher authority. And the classic way a spiritual narcissist does this is by elevating her own feelings, dreams, and words from the Lord above the clear established truth of scripture. She will be a connoisseur of the new thing God is doing.

She will have dramatic dreams, prophetic insights, and deep emotional feelings about the will of God for your lives. And these subjective experiences will always conveniently align with her own desires. If the Bible clearly commands one thing but she feels God is leading her to do another, her feeling will always win. She has created a personalized feedback loop with a God who sounds remarkably like her. This is a subtle but profound form of idolatry. She has rejected the objective, unchanging word of God as her final authority and has replaced it with the subjective ever changing throne of her own emotions. A godly woman tests her feelings against the word.

A narcissistic woman tests the word against her feelings. Grace and truth. These are two of the foundational pillars of our faith and a counterfeit will always handle them improperly. Of these two audits, the audit of grace, how she handles weakness, or the audit of truth, how she handles the Bible,which one do you think is a more challenging area for a good Christian to discern clearly?

This is the final and in many ways the most definitive audit. A person's true heart posture toward the authority of God is most clearly revealed in how they respond to the flawed human and delegated authority that God has placed in the church. A heart that cannot submit to God's shepherds will not truly submit to the chief shepherd.   Partially transcribed from “Echoes of Obedience”

Finally, there’s the history of ordering followers to distance or altogether cut ties with their own family, throughout the reign of her tenure at WOFF. She is ordering the Christian to allow her control over her own personal connection with a family that most surely loves them and doesn’t understand this harsh transformation. The counterfeit will attack the character of the family as ungodly, wicked or other “greatest hits”, such as in the case of Woffwatcher.

There is no “Godly” reason for this, just her twisted logic and appetite for control. There is no logic either.

As people have been telling you all of this time, “you need to get out of that toxic place”. They may be sinners, but sinners are also children of God. And they can be right too. Here I refer to my favorite observation: “Even a bad restaurant has customers” makes my point.

Keep eating. Just go to another restaurant.

Remembering John Huddle

PEOPLE DON'T JOIN CULTS WHEN THEY'RE HAPPY AND SECURE

 "Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this, to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." -James 1:27

It may look like I’m proof texting. But your WOFF leaders are notorious for taking one passage out of context and build a whole theology around it.

Herein lies the the theme for today’s paper:

In my last WW paper I asked if WOFF is a CULT OF PERSONALITY?

Let’s try to answer this with another example:

JW and select WOFF leadership and followers fiercely supporting the Trump ideology through donations and volunteer work.

Trump doesn't offer policies. He offers identity. He's not popular because of what he does, but because of what he represents.

To many of his followers, he's the walking, talking middle finger to a system they believe has failed them. They see him as their guy, not because he's honest, not because he helps them, but because he talks like them, rages like them, and punches the people they've been told to blame for everything.

In psychology, this is called identity fusion. It's when your personal identity becomes fused with your group or leader. That's why criticism of Trump feels like a personal attack to his supporters.

It's not just he's being criticized. It's YOU’RE being criticized. Second, he offers revenge, not solutions. He doesn't promise to fix health care or raise wages or protect your rights. He promises to go after immigrants, the press, black activists, LGBTQ people, liberals, college students, elites, anyone outside HIS tribe.

This is classic authoritarianism. Give people a sense of law. Tell them who stole it. Then promise to make them pay. And to some people, that rage, that promise of vengeance is more emotionally satisfying than actual policy, which is HOW it’s intended to work.

It doesn't fix their problems, but it feels like power. Next, people crave order and Trump promises strength. When institutions fail, when you don't trust the media, the courts, elections, schools, you start to look for a savior, someone who says, only I can fix it.

That's why Trump acts like a strong man. He creates the crisis, then sells himself as the only one tough enough to stop it. He's done that over and over and over again. He's not leading a movement. He's leading a dependency. This is classic narcissistic behavior. 

Paying attention Jane?

And, his followers are trapped in an information bubble. They don't just believe lies. They live inside them. Fox News?, MAGA influencers, far-right churches (like WOFF), Trump's own app, Truth Social, it's a closed-loop ecosystem that tells them every day, the elites hate you, the media lies, only Trump tells the truth. 

Again, sound familiar, Jane?

This is called epistemic closure. When you no longer accept any outside information, it's cult logic. If Trump says it, it's true. If the world says otherwise, the world is lying. Finally, shame is too powerful.

So they double down, just like Trump does. Some Trump supporters know deep down they've been conned. They've seen the cruelty, the corruption, the chaos, but they've already invested years of their identity into defending him. Hence, the motivational reasoning.

To walk away now would mean confronting shame, losing their community, admitting they were wrong. And that's terrifying to them. So instead, they dig in deeper. And finally, Trump makes them feel seen. Oh no. You can’t be made to look bad! While quietly others (many others) are laughing at you.

He tells them, they're not after me, they're after YOU. I'm just in the way. That line is emotional manipulation, but it works. Because for millions of people who feel ignored, dismissed, mocked by elites, Trump says, you matter.

You're not crazy. THEY are. He gives them belonging. And in a country where loneliness is rising and inequality is everywhere, belonging is everything. So when people ask, why do people love him? Why would they follow him off a cliff?

Hey, JW says I speak to the wicked. But it’s OK that DT has the wicked on speed dial. But THAT'S OK?

It's not just politics, it's psychology, it's identity, and it's fear. This is deliberate. Trump didn't create the cult. He just saw the cracks in our society and he weaponized them. Just like your fearless (although she should be) leader and hubby with the alligator slippers.

But here's the thing.....

Not everyone in this cult is unreachable. Yes, some are too far gone, but others are on the edge, quiet, doubting, hurting. We don't get them back with facts. We get them back by offering something Trump never will, real community, real care, and real solutions.

Because people don't join cults when they're happy and secure. They join when they're scared, isolated, and desperate for meaning. So here's your call to action. Keep speaking truth, keep exposing the con, and when you can, offer people a way out that doesn't begin with shame, but with dignity.

This fight isn't just about defeating Trump. It's about breaking the spell and building something better in its place. That's how we get them in. That's how we get them to abandon him.

It’s bad enough that you are living your life under someone else’s control and rules.  

It’s REALLY bad to have your micro dictator have you worship THEIR dictator on your time and expense. 

 

There's no excuse as a Christian for participating in a movement that uses dehumanizing rhetoric against human beings and glorifies their mistreatment at the hands of masked government agents.

 

The scripture: "Keep oneself from being polluted by the world". MAGA "christians" claim to be acting as Christians in their politics, but they reject the clear commands of scripture about how to be a Christian, to care for the poor and the oppressed. And they even delight in acts of cruelty to the stranger among us. But when it comes to the thing that we're told to do ourselves to keep ourselves from being "polluted" by the world they try to weaponize that against anyone who commits the sins that they've decided are the big ones. But if we think about lying or cruelty, abuse, demonization, selfishness, greed, gluttony, pride, envy, wrath, all of those are fine and they even reward politicians who glory in those sins. But they band together as a voting block to try to keep a small minority of people from "polluting" the nation in a few very specific ways.

Meanwhile, they embrace the worldliest man any of us have seen as president. And they embrace the world's tactics, power over the other. Dishonesty, cruelty, selfishness. And they call that Christian. The people behind the MAGA movement, people like Donald Trump have learned to leverage worldly Christian grievances, to get worldly Christians to fight worldly culture wars instead of doing the hard work of living as an actual follower of Jesus in this world. 

What's WORSE is for millions of people to call themselves Christians and to explicitly say that they're voting as Christians, but then to reject the most important thing God tells them explicitly to do as Christians. If you're involved in politics for religious reasons, God tells you what your religious priorities are: 

Care for the orphan and the widow.

Remembering John Huddle 

John Early Huddle - Rest in Peace My Friend July 29, 2025

 

Our friend John Huddle, passed Tuesday July 29, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 64 years old.

John was a peaceful man and a fierce advocate in alerting the world to the dangers of WOFF. 

His recounts of his time as a member of the church are heartbreaking and bizarre at the hands of the mercurial temperament of Jane Whaley and her devout followers.

John exposed the dangers of WOFF as a cult on his blog religiouscultsinfo.com with accounts from former members, the tactics used by WOFF leadership, resources to help those wanting to leave, many deep dives into the science and logic, such as it is, about the types of cults and how they operate. It is an endlessly useful site, presumably in danger of getting shut down soon by those with access to the site. I would recommend all interested to cut and paste as much as possible from the site before it is lost forever.

John had started this blog and mission in 2010, a year before WOFFWATCH started in 2011. And his dedication to helping others through his blog was world class in it's thoughtful approach, solid reporting, credible accounts from his own experiences and storytelling through those who shared their confidence in John.

John went to great lengths and hundreds of hours of time researching, researching and even going to conferences at his own expense to further educate himself on the subject. 

He ultimately wrote LOCKED IN a book available on AMAZON, and if I'm not mistaken, he was on track to release another book,  as well as worked with award winning AP reporter Mitch Weiss, conducted many interviews for both print and broadcast as well as contributed source material for many of the stories published and broadcast about WOFF over the years.

 

None of his work would be possible without the many, many people John had as contacts within the church, out of the church, and periphery players who were invaluable sources in detailing the actions of this troubled place, all controlled by the leadership that is WOFF and it's Darth Vader in a dress.

WOFF IS A CULT. Doesn't matter if JW say's it isn't. It is. WOFF's version of the truth is not the truth.

WOFF has a documented history of  punishing people, making them work for free at Mara Lago on weekends, openly supporting a rapist, liar and incompetent corrupt buffoon, tattling on one another, separating families, all in the name of GOD. JW's version of GOD. 

I've been to WOFF a number of times. I know people at WOFF. Some former members know me. So, it's not like I'm throwing out opinions. I know how the place works. 

John's passion for helping others and spreading the word will be sorely missed.

John, my friend: Thank you for everything. We shared some hysterical moments, you reached out to help me one time, and I'll never forget that, and the Wendy's in Marion will never be the same. Thank you for being so generous with news from Spinhead, NC. I will miss you.

IS THE WORD OF FAITH DOCTRINE IS A CULT OF PERSONALITY?

Jeremiah 23:16

16 This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.

 25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach. 

 

Not everyone who speaks the name of God walks in the light of God. 

Not everyone who quotes scripture has the spirit of Christ dwelling in them. 

Evil has mastered the art of mimicry. It knows how to act holy. It knows how to cry tears on cue. It knows how to cloak itself in Christian language and spiritual performance. But the word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing through the soul and spirit, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. If you stay close to God, you will begin to see people not as they present themselves, but as they truly are. God gives the discerning heart to those who walk in holiness. An evil person is not merely someone who sins. We all fall short. We all make mistakes. But there is a difference between someone who sins and repents and someone who sins and manipulates. Someone who sins and hardens their heart. Evil is not found in weakness. It is found in rebellion.

It is found in that cold, calculating heart that uses others as tools for its own agenda. It is in the person who sews division, who spreads confusion, who whispers lies behind smiles. And if you're not spiritually alert, you'll think they're your friend. 

 

But what did Jesus say? Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing. That wasn't suggestion. It was a warning. A person may appear pious, may volunteer, may serve, may quote the Psalms, but look deeper. 

 

What is the fruit of their life? Does peace follow them or destruction? Do people leave their presence built up or torn down? Are they constantly involved in strife, in gossip, in secret conversations behind closed doors? These are signs.

 

The truly righteous don't just speak of God, they reflect God. 

Their lives produce light. Their presence brings healing, not corrosion. Pay attention.

 

Satan masquerades as an angel of light. And so do his messengers.

The evil person is an expert at emotional deception. They know how to mirror your hopes, your fears, your language. They will tell you what you want to hear, and they will say it with such conviction you'll doubt your own discernment. But their actions never align with truth. They promise loyalty but betray with ease. They speak of love but know only control. They apologize but never change. Their words are

carefully crafted weapons and their apologies are merely tools to reset your boundaries so they can cross them again. Evil does not want peace. It wants dominance. It does not seek reconciliation. It seeks submission. 

 

Do not confuse charisma with character.

Do not mistake eloquence for integrity.

The devil is eloquent. The devil is persuasive. The devil quoted scripture when tempting Christ in the wilderness.

 

And there are people in this world who use scripture as a sword not to fight the devil, but to enslave others under their manipulation. Watch the consistency between a person's words and their walk. The righteous may stumble,but they get up in humility. the evil fall and blame you for it. An evil person resents the truth. It offends them. It agitates their spirit. They will turn on you not when you sin, but when you shine light on their sin. They will praise you when you are silent and passive, but as soon as you speak with courage, they'll call you arrogant,divisive, self-righteous. That's what they call Christ. They hated him, not because he healed the sick, but because he exposed their corruption. If you want to see who's truly evil, observe how they respond to truth that costs them comfort. Evil will always target the kind-hearted. Why? Because kindness is vulnerable. Kindness gives the benefit of the doubt. Kindness assumes the best. And so, the evil gravitate toward those who are easy to exploit. But let this be clear. Kindness is not the same as blindness. To walk in Christ is to walk in both love and discernment. Jesus loved the world, but he did not entrust himself to everyone. He knew what was in their hearts. And so must you. Love people, but guard your spirit. Be gracious, but be wise. Be humble, but do not hand your peace to the devil in the name of compassion.

 

Evil persons often position themselves as victims. They will twist every story to make themselves appear persecuted. When confronted, they will cry, deflect, blame others, or bring up past wounds to avoid accountability. Their strategy is emotional entrapment. They keep others dancing around their dysfunction. 

 

But the righteous person accepts correction.

The righteous person when rebuked grows stronger. 

The evil person when rebuked seeks revenge. Look closely at their relationships.

Evil people rarely have long-term healthy connections. They leave a trail of broken friendships, divided families, and fractured churches. And yet, they always blame the other person. They are never wrong. They are always misunderstood.

 

This is the hallmark of evil. The inability to see self, the inability to repent, the refusal to bow the knee. A person is not evil because they make you uncomfortable.They are not evil because they disagree with you. They are evil when they purposely, habitually, and remorselessly do harm while pretending to be holy. They are evil when they manipulate the truth for gain. They are evil when they delight in the downfall of others. They are evil when they weaponize grace, exploit mercy, and use forgiveness as a license to abuse again. But here's the most terrifying truth. Evil people often don't appear evil to others until it's too late. Why? Because they are good at hiding. Because people love appearances more than essence. 

 

But God does not.  

 

Man looks at the outward appearance. God looks at the heart. If you want to see the truth, you must ask for God's eyes. You must pray, "Lord, give me wisdom beyond my feelings. Give me sight beyond my emotions. Let me see as you see." One of the surest ways to spot evil is by what it hates. Evil despises the humble. Evil mocks the pure. Evil attacks the faithful. Evil flees from prayer. Evil crumbles under the weight of worship. It cannot stand the presence of God. So if you want to expose evil, bring it into the light. Start worshiping. Start fasting. Start praying boldly in the name of Jesus. Watch who suddenly gets irritated. Watch who pulls away. Watch who accuses you of being too spiritual. That's not your problem. That's their manifestation.

 

Evil isolates its victims. It wants you to doubt yourself. It wants you to feel alone, unsure, weak. That's how it gains power. But the spirit of God unites. It brings you into truth, into clarity, into strength. And where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. You are not called to be confused. You are not called to walk on eggshells. If someone constantly makes you question your reality, question your worth, question

your sanity, that is not of God. The evil person resents your growth. They hate to see you rise. They rejoice when you fail, even if they pretend to care.

 

Watch how people respond to your victories. That will tell you everything. Those with pure hearts celebrate others. Those with evil hearts compete. They compare. They sabotage. They pretend to support while secretly working against you. Don't ignore the signs. Don't explain them away. 

 

Spiritual discernment is not judgment.  It's protection. 

Never forget that evil is territorial. It wants to claim space in your life, your thoughts, your emotions, your relationships. But you were not created to be a playground for darkness. You were created to carry the

light. And when the light enters, darkness must flee. 

 

So do not fear evil.

Confront it. 

Name it.

Bind it in the name of Jesus. 

Do not allow false compassion to paralyze you into silence. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. The battle you face is not merely with people. It is with spirits, with principalities, with the rulers of the darkness of this world. So when you see evil in a person, understand they are not just acting out of emotion. They are often operating under influence. You don't fight that with logic. You fight that with prayer. You fight that with the word. You fight that with holy living. And when you walk in righteousness, no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

 

But understand this, evil does not go away because you ignore it. It doesn't stop because you're nice to it. Evil must be confronted. Sometimes that means walking away. Sometimes that means drawing firm boundaries. Sometimes that means removing people from your life not because you don't love them, but because you love God more and you refuse to let darkness dwell where light has been called to reign. Do not be deceived by smooth words. Test the spirits. Look for the fruit. Ask the Holy Spirit to expose every hidden agenda. God is faithful. He will open your eyes. And when he does,do  not look away. Truth demands a response. If God shows you evil, it is not so you can pity it. It is so you can be free from it. You are not called to fix what God has marked.

Christina was a friend to this blog. I found her to be engaging, outrageously funny and tough. She is one of those people that "get's the joke" and not only laughs but added supplemental material that had depth and bite.

What turmoil to have in such a short life and still come out of it with her head held high, helping others and with endless examples of kindness. 

WoffWatcher cannot fathom the anguish and sense of loss this untimely passing this must have on her family and friends. I can only imagine this void as well as the experience of having to endure such heartbreak and test of sanity it must take. 

WoffWatcher will be join you in spirit to join in celebrating Christina's life this coming Saturday.

I send my love and inspiration to the family and pledge to continue the battle for the souls of those still unknowingly hijacked by those misguided RC fanatics.

I started this blog in July of 2011 with a mission to hold WOFF accountable for it's systematic abuse and exploitation of people.

In the 8 years since, I have made friends with a number of people in and out of this cult-like environment. You all know who you are. And, you are quite lovely people.

My personal stake in joining the resistance, as my friend John Huddle says, is that my family are among the many under the spell of Jane Whaley, and her associates at WOFF.

I have struggled with our relationship through on and off estrangement and reuniting and back to estrangement presumably on the whim they have learned to apply as needed, from this culture.

As I have stated before, I would rather fight for them and those in WOFF who clearly want better or don't know it yet, than to just hope and pray that they snap out of it. I would rather lose fighting than just sitting passive.

Those who read this blog regularly, know my mission. It is to comment and confront them on their actions, and to provide guidance on who and where to go to seek help as well as to reference all of the documentation available from news media and other sources on the links section.

Much of what is happening to WOFF right now and recent past, is the result of getting the attention of national news media, local reporting, reports to law enforcement, blogs like religiouscultsinfo.com, and WOFFWATCH. 

I believe this collective effort is paying off in scrutinizing this conflicted group of souls who are being led by a questionably rational, self appointed disciples of a customized and self serving version of worship.

I would like to think that survival allowing for common sense, is the basis for many to leave WOFF. That documenting everything works along with determination, courage and love.

If you are conflicted, consider the war of propaganda.

Some may liken this to returning to an abusive relationship just because it's the only kind of love you know and you are so afraid that you will never be loved again.

We understand your dilemma. And so many of you are so brave to take that chance, perhaps at a very high cost.

Those of you with doubts, those of you planning your exit, those of you with family members on the inside, are seeing some unwelcome attention and pressure on WOFF by law enforcement and the world at large. It has taken some time but we are at the beginning of the beginning of possible change, demise, or unknown outcomes from which this organization will not recover.

This unnecessary batch of time that WOFF has robbed us of, has changed peoples lives forever in this lifetime. This has been a battle that has been worth the fight. And, it is far from over. We still have to treat and love the victims, both inside and out. And pray and try to forgive those who have led those into an abyss.

WOFF is so dead set on distinctly positioning itself as “not of the world” and “not wanting to do anything with/of the world” yet prove that they cannot exist without the world to maintain daily activities, projects, campaigns, defense and future plans. This gives their perceived opposition an unintended view of how poorly their sausage is made .

“How can a religion do this, that? How can they love people with the same level of hate for others. How can they explain away this and that?" Are questions often asked.

In a rational world, there is no rational answer. 

It's in the hands of the feds, and God.

A federal investigation, like those presently conducted on the Word of Faith Fellowship Organization, it's leadership and members begins like this:

It starts at the bottom, with identifying the small fish who might have been watched or reported on for some potentially illegal activity. Once identified and evidence obtained, those persons are charged with a crime by the system within the regional jurisdiction of the Federal Government.

Once charged, then pressure is applied on the subjects and or targets of the investigation to obtain information about those higher up in the organization. It is the rounding out the framework of those in an organization's alleged crimes or offenses that are part of a common scheme or plan.

During this process, incentive may be offered to give up information toward some kind of leniency or reduced prison time. When the evidence ultimately starts gushing out after this incentive is applied, investigators head to the next level vetting out the details of their incentive based dirt and building their case.

In this scenario, the subjects or targets also now become witnesses in addition to defendants.

The immense legal threat they are personally facing are also subject to local and state charges.

It would be interesting to witness the peripheral characters at the center of the WOFF series of investigations on a chart linking them with other WOFF members, enablers, leaders and possibly victims in this or multiple investigations.

It must be slow torture for those who have the most to lose, when not praying, when not denying this is really happening, when scoffing at those who dare challenge them, when assigning blame to others, that they too must eventually make their way to a seat at the grown up table.

Now the very legal system that WOFF and Jane have used to previously defend themselves and prevail, will face the Federal Government justice system from not just one, but on a number of levels and with many participants in a meticulously detailed and assembled set of cases. The investigations undoubtedly produce depth and detail about many of our questions and provide us with a much better definition of true north. There's no buying off, delaying or praying these set of circumstances away.

This is what happens when you have no sense of how the world works, a litany or mindset of us against them, sloppy attempts at coverup and no sense of common sense, gets you.

Jane, her followers and enablers now have to answer to a more immediate authority resulting in the dissecting of this organization, it's businesses, and personal lives.

While WOFF will undoubtedly position itself as the object of outrage, their “we're being persecuted like the Jews” bromide will once again be an attempt at apoplectic distraction.

This is curious because Jews have facial hair. Jews watch television. Jews dance. Jews drink wine.

Jews celebrate holidays. Jews embrace family members from outside their community.

WOFF people don't.

Jews were and are still persecuted. They were almost wiped out, killed, by evil.

WOFF'ers have wiped out their own, through their own evil. No WOFF'ers have died.

Just because people disagree with you doesn't mean they are persecuting you. They are just disagreeing with you, not killing you or beating you.

Just the way a Jew might disagree how you are comparing yourselves to them.

WOFF'ers wanting to leave: you can't live in a culture where trust is variable and danger is as close as Jane changing her mind. As you and I know, not ALL WOFF'ers are treated equally.

People have already taken notice for some time. But now, people are actually out there in numbers organizing to help you. No one is taking WOFF down. WOFF has already done it. The justice system will see to it that those responsible are held accountable.

Despite WOFF radio broadcasts ranging from a happy picture of redemption, denials and misunderstanding about your "church", we chose to WATCH WHAT YOU DO AND NOT WHAT YOU SAY.

Finally Jane, Thomas Merton, a Monk said: "I don't always know the right thing to do, Lord, but I think the fact that I want to please you pleases you.” .

He wrote that about God. You know, the one you talk to all the time? I don't believe that he asked you to tell your followers to allegedly beat up people, have your members shun their families on the outside, allegedly steal, allegedly make people work for you and not pay them, and live in a mansion.

I know this because I never see you at the meetings.

Lady, you are out of your fucking mind. I will say that to you the next time you tell me you love me. See you at church!

WHO ARE WOFF's ENEMIES?

"We are secluding ourselves in ideological ghettos. We have our own news sources. We exchange ideas mostly or exclusively with people who agree with us, and troll those who don't. Increasingly, we have our own facts to reinforce our convictions and any empirical evidence that disputes them is branded as 'fake.” - Senator John McCain

Having listened to the WOFF Response radio program members demonizing the world they are counting on to believe them, it is easy to conclude WOFF's core belief: “we respond on our own terms and use every legal way to defend, evade, spin and escape” the seemingly perpetual and numerous accusations brought against them.

There is never ANY mention of specific incidents to which they respond. The words: “lies, attackers, and conspiracy” populate their airtime blather, countered with the “'this is such a wonderful place', 'how can people attack us like this?' 'None of this goes on here', 'They've changed my world' and my favorite 'We don't want to be a friend of the world'”, tribal talking points.

Their stream of consciousness rants boldly contains blaming others for the very things they are doing.

This opportunity to properly address the community bleeds of hubris instead of humility that is heavily salted with poor or challenged communication skills by members with no order, depth, or direction in their monologues.

A coherent narrative this does not make. But an unhinged stream of feigned persecution, denial and palpable panic underscore a dangerous level of madness that is consensus within this “church”.

So, WHO ARE WOFF'S ENEMIES?

I have compiled this list. Let's compare notes.

1. WOFF – They are their own WORST enemy. Listen to the radio show, read the WFF webpage, talk to current members. The sheer volume of actions past and present within the “church” that have led to accusations, investigations and court sessions as well as controversy, ridicule, and pain. This is a community increasingly unmoored in common sense.
   
   
2. The Truth – No matter what the verdict, they will claim victory or persecution. The facts don't matter. Anything that doesn't go their way isn't the TRUTH. Is it the TRUTH you hate, or just the math?

3. Justice/The Feds – They see this as unfair. How can “JUSTICE” know the way of God? It's a sure fire way, in their minds that even if they prevail, the whole ordeal was just unfair. I'm sure investigations and warrants and searches are a bitch. Just wait until they find those rare Dead Sea Scroll Steak Knives! Jane, it's the cost of doing business, honey.

4. Accountability -They see accountability as persecution. They do not believe they need to be held accountable. That's for “the world”, not them. After all, everything is great at the WOFFLEHOUSE.
   

5. Victims - What about the victims? You've heard about about feces, how one million flies can't be wrong. Same with the scores of victims you have piled up. Not all of them could be lying. Again with the math.

6. Whistleblowers – I cannot believe you don't know how many whistleblowers you still have in this “church”. Not everybody is following the format. Even if WOFF had a cleanse, you STILL wouldn't get to all of them. You have them and that will NEVER change.

7. Delusion – Nobody's perfect Jane, even though you have proclaimed it. Your followers will take your cue. Delusion is dangerous in this setting. This is how you justify egregious acts and lands you in hot water. 
   
   
   

8. The Media – We never get to hear your side, WOFF. Not in a true back and forth. How about a live interview, on the radio, with ME? Remember checks and balances? That's what journalism does. It holds those accountable by reporting truth. This includes yard sales.

9. Opinions – The community you live in has enabled you. Some with their back scratching and others with their silence. The one's not in the former group are the ones who make the most noise about you. They have to live among you and put up with your nonsense. Don't expect to keep pulling the shit you do and get a pass on public opinion.

10. Bloggers and Activists– We are the least of your problems, or so you have convinced yourself. Yet, you keep sending your minions to monitor and document public gatherings, read our blogs and have followers report back to you. To you we are attackers, devils.....you've called us everything but a white man. We are the conscience that doesn't exist within the walls where its followers are smothered and covered. We give hope, we are on a mission to speak to the truth, to point the way where alternative forms of worship and living exist and hold you accountable. Your system has holes that expose your vulnerability such as with the IRS, HOMELAND SECURITY, DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, JUSTICE DEPARTMENT, CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES, THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE, FCC, SBI, STATE BOARD OF REALTORS, and THE BAR ASSOCIATION.

I invite readers to search through my previous blogs as well as the links within these WW pages. The very things that are coming to light, I have forecasted in those blogs........years ago!

Suffice it to say, I and others who are openly vocal against WOFF are the bane of their existence. As long as they hold my family within their ranks, as well as treat others like crap because they don't fit in, I will be there holding them accountable.

PREACHING TO THE CHOIR - Damage Control for Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption

“I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here” - Claude Rains

Only WOFF can try to put out a fire with gasoline.

For the last few months, WOFF and it's members have paid for and appeared on local Rutherfordton, NC radio station WCAB, AM 590, from 8:30am to 9am, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, under the guise of “responding to the negative news reports” as heard in the awkwardly crafted disclaimer that opens the program.

The radio program attempts to deliver positive light about the Spindale faithful, perhaps intending to avoid addressing abuse allegations against members and ex-members, as documented in the Associated Press investigative pieces first reported in March of 2017. Meanwhile, video features slickly produced exclusively for WOFF's website and Youtube page, unabashedly exploit current WOFF members by viciously denouncing former family members who have left. One such example is the family of John Huddle, Religious Cults Info blogger, activist, and face of the awareness movement warning of the congregation's dangers.

WOFF's campaign of attack, deflect, and defiance is troubling. The choice of contrasting messages in the two mediums is bizarre, if not confusing.

Their approach cancels itself out and further distorted by feigning outrage at the accusations against them and cries of persecution. Their unwillingness to discuss specific incidents is not only conspicuous, it is breathtaking dishonesty, magnified by their lack of remorse or accountability.

This Public Relations campaign addressing the prevailing curse of controversy is further compounded by having a member who is a LAWYER, Mark Morris, who is presumably at some level of counsel for WOFF, to conveniently steer the content and message away from further controversy, but to also ignore, edit out or end run the real matters of concern. This approach resembles state controlled media tactics, as in North Korea, where the only message is the one their government sees fit for its citizens.

So, listeners are just supposed to take WOFF's word on these programs?

From a legal viewpoint, I understand that any admission or counterpoints discussed on this program may be considered evidence toward any future formal legal proceeding. And the potentially costly fumble committed on February 5th's WOFF RESPONSE, where member Sandra Norris’ reference to the Matthew Fenner case was deleted after the initial broadcast because it may have violated the gag order imposed on discussing this case, was brazenly egregious. If this situation indeed causes penalty, it should not be ignored that this sloppy piece of broadcasting, that is,violating a gag order and then editing out the content for future broadcast, may also interest the FCC.

This program has stumbled in its evolution from the prevailing technically challenged on-air audio levels in its very production, featuring nervous, seemingly stream of consciousness and ramblings of Karel Reynolds and other storytellers with accounts of people with troubled lives finding redemption and comfort in the arms of the WOFF community.

But that is all it is. “Here is my story, Isn't this place great? How about a song?” I hear no mention of negative reports or accounts of specific incidents.

I have no doubt that people's lives have changed. I have seen SOME, NOT ALL, people who are fully embedded there and would never consider moving on.

That's great. We're sincerely happy for you. We are not against you loving and serving God.

I believe we can agree that WOFF is not for everybody.

I am not a former member, but it has been my personal experience with WOFF is that if these people SMELL even the slightest doubt that you're fully in, they can make your life hell.

I have personally witnessed WOFF leadership and members all treating you with love and kindness and smiles and hugs and pats on the back and loving eye contact. However, some of these same people, mostly in leadership, also have a gear that goes in reverse without even shifting, resulting in behavior that defies description.

I say this because the people IN that congregation can get a bit carried away. Take the WOFF members awaiting their day in court for the Fenner incident.

Just recently a WOFF self destructive suck up was caught stealing campaign signs. His picture has lit up Facebook and even faces a court date for his trouble. It turns out to be the same “soldier” that was one of the names in the Michael Lowry beating complaint.

Wait, isn't this place about control? In the WOFF system, followers pick on the innocent, and the guilty get the lawyers. And, when you get called on it, we are all liars, attackers, and you clam up when it suits you.

And Pastor Jane Whaley, you have been curiously absent from these broadcasts.

Perhaps it is her doctrine, a fear based message, a culture dependent on secrecy, control, and unequal distribution of wealth. One where every member is a source of WOFF revenue, resulting in a congregation with now more ex-members than members. It is understandable that she may not be the ideal messenger to helm this broadcast. It might confuse the listeners hearing from an established, profoundly reckless woman of seemingly questionable sanity, making WOFF'S case in public.

So, in your words, WOFF: the denial devil will lead you to submit to legal authority. Take hold, dear leadership, justice is charged with locking in the truth and will further subject you to open rebuke.

WOFF, in squandering your chance to truthfully address these pending matters, work against your campaign. Your broadcasts are just air, with no significant content, but denial and silence. Future trips to the courthouse will compel you to change your tune.

Otherwise, all you are doing is Preaching to the Choir.

The Devil Is In The Details - WOFF'S Challenging, Defensive Disclaimer In Lieu of an Apology

WOFF spared no time releasing a statement responding to allegations made in a report by Mitch Weiss, an Associated Press investigative reporter, featuring shocking revelations of alleged abuse of 43 former WOFF members, at the hands of ministers.(See Document Everything)

There are a lot of holes in this weak, albeit aggressively crafted statement.

It points fingers, fails to apologize, questions credibility, feigns shock and disappointment (a 10 on the "oh please" scale), reeks of self unawareness, and attempts to minimize the participants.

After loosely analyzing and DE-coding the statement, I found THEIR statements more incredulous than my interpretation.

In lieu of a good lawyer to write this statement, their in-house counsel, a graduate of the Mayberry School of Law, home of the fighting Shazams!, popped off this gem:

We are shocked and saddened to learn of the false allegations made against our church and its pastors by certain former members and reported in a recent Associated Press article authored by Mitch Weiss. (We didn't see this coming, we are self unaware. In addition, they are all lies anyway. No one would dare question Jane Whaley.)

We do not condone or allow abuse in any form at our church. Period. (We hope this statement will be enough smoke for you to believe us. We 'don't condone' it now that we have been publicly outed by a massive amount of allegations coming from one investigation. So, does this mean you condoned it before? )

These false allegations were predominantly made by members of an extended family, with one of its members currently facing several legal battles, both civil and criminal. (So, let's get mean and start pointing out how flawed all these people are.)

We believe these allegations are carefully targeted and timed to prejudice the jury pool, put pressure on the judges and elected officials, and otherwise influence the public in an attempt to gain advantage in these legal cases. (Too late. The general public has known about the goings on at this "church" well before Good Cop(religious cults info)/Bad Cop (WOFFWATCHER)started blogging. It doesn't help your case that your very public court battles and numerous news reports have documented bouts of alleged abuse and other drama for well over 30 years.There is INDEED A WELL ESTABLISHED PATTERN HERE.)

The allegations of this small group of people should be viewed in contrast to the number of faithful members in our large congregation. (It only takes ONE case of abuse or criminal activity to impact the reputation of any person, business or even place of worship, much less 43 people. More importantly, "faithful members" still within your flock have ALSO experienced some of the same treatment that 43 former members have revealed. I know some!! And, there are still people cued up to leave at any moment.)

It is curious and revealing that those now speaking out have sat on their allegations for several years and only speak out at what they perceive to be an advantageous time. (No time like the present, pal. Investigators are still hunting down Nazis. You think all of those alleged incidents that happened at your "church are going to be forgotten, much less reported? This sentence is highly presumptuous for an organization purported to be a place of worship.)

If our church is such an abusive place, why did several of the attorneys quoted in Mr. Weiss’ article allow their children to continue to attend our church and school for months after they withdrew from membership in the church? (For the same reason CURRENT members have waited. For the RIGHT MOMENT. When you have to pack up and go, you have to have every body on the same page, which is impossible for most people as they are prone to tell on each other. Importantly, you just don't walk away from family. That's why.) 

Further, is it notable that one of the most vehement critics quoted in the article routinely insisted that his infant daughter be cared for daily by the very individuals he now accuses of heinous abuse.(Extenuating circumstances here. Man, you are reaching.)

False allegations have been made against our church in the past. Investigations at several levels of government have been conducted. We have been exonerated at every point. (No. ALLEGATIONS have been made in the past against your "church" They just didn't have the legal muscle . You're flaunting your win-win record where your legal teams have been successful. This doesn't matter going forward.)

Although Mr. Weiss’s article references his review of various legal documents, it fails to educate the reader on these exonerations .(Really? You think critiquing a respected journalist who works for the gold standard of journalism, is relevant? How are you qualified to do this? Now who's attacking who? Stick with what you know. God knows you know most every egregious moment of what's gone on at WOFF, and would be one hell of a witness for the plaintiffs. I know, the client-lawyer privilege thing.)

We remain hopeful that the public will see through these fabrications and see them for what they are.( Remain hopeful all you want. Your track record is hard to ignore. No one will see any of this as fabrications.  Not even fabric professionals.)

You May All Now Freak Out

I've been writing this blog for nearly 6 years.

If you're just joining us now that all hell is breaking loose, good for you, AND WELCOME!

Check out my past blogs for what I believe to be prescient, baseball bat over the head commentary and analysis. The links are incredibly helpful for getting a good handle on all things WOFF. The two You Tube mini commercials are worth a look as well.

You will read that I have a stake in all of this. My concerns are real, as well as many others over the years have been closely watching and discussing.

I have been most intensely disappointed, you'll read, is that many in the Rutherford county community, not members of WOFF, have been dismissive, and apathetic to the goings on of this "church". My experiment with facebook proved correct. That is, that some people got caught up in their own, unnecessary, drama, with narcissistic and truly insane ingredients to make for a disaster pie, and I just up and took down the account after only a few months.

But the blog continued, and maybe slowed down a bit because I knew this day was coming.

Now, what was no doubt the inevitable, is happening. The other shoe has dropped.

First, the ever pending Fenner trial, and now the AP has conducted a thorough investigation, and whole world now has gotten a jaw dropping view into this place a few of us have been yelling about for quite a while.

Much of what is in the report is the same we have known for years. However, the number of those interviewed is astounding.

It's going to be hard for WOFF to recover from 43 people baring their souls to the world with the gold standard of journalism reporting on what has to be a painstaking, seemingly endless pursuit of truth and accuracy.

Now, the fallout will present itself in perhaps predictable ways, that is with statements of denials, threats of legal action, members bailing, more investigations, more revelations. This is just the beginning.

But we are all worried about the Kool - Aid, both literally and figuratively.


Jane still owes us an apology.
