VICTIMS IN THE SPOTLIGHT, NOW MORE POWERFUL THAN EVER Lessons Are Right In Front of You

Our critics are our friends because they DO show us our faults. - Ben Franklin

The number of people identifying themselves as victims against the alleged acts of Bill Cosby continues to grow despite any formal action toward charging him for criminal or civil actions. But hints of this to change keep coming. Spare for a few sprinkled comments Cosby has made about these allegations, albeit rather sparingly and without much substance, otherwise what dialogue does exist connecting victims to Mr. Cosby have been through statements made by lawyers through the media.

So far, none of any of the victims have gained any ground, exception made for settlements and dismissal by civil means or law enforcement.

So many victims, one guy, lawyers, silence. What is one to do with these elements?

Add the tragic loss of young men at the hands of law enforcement is the outrage of the moment across the country. You can decide if the legal results of these incidents prove satisfactory, or not. I only wish to use this in the context that, in this case, another form of victim is the focus of many feeling heartbreak, disappointment and rage. The entire country and certainly many parts of the globe, have expressed their outrage and ancillary feelings in some form or another. Some have been violent. Most have not.

A seeming pandemic of “victims”, regardless of the cause, is a result cultural and technological evolution, not to forget, voyeuristic nature of humans hunger to read all the gory details and further to express their heartbreak, outrage and intent to correct wrongs done them.

But there have always been victims. Those victims however, were not to benefit of the volume of attention we have most recently assigned their contemporary ancestors.

Cosby and the victims are examples of a perfect storm and inspiration as well as opportunity for victims seeking justice against WOFF.

Interest and activism toward the cause of helping victims has never been so palpable among those in and around the WOFF culture, members, ex-members, family members, observers and we who seek to hold them accountable.

Whereas Mr. Cosby is potentially more financially able to fend off potential plaintiffs, and Law Enforcement and Municipalities settle with victims' families, WOFF does not appear to claim that luxury due to the generations of people affected both in and out of the organization. The potential number of litigants here is staggering.

Read that paragraph again.

The potential number of litigants here is staggering.

Any action from the next victim or victims will require courage, support, counseling, time, research, financial support, activism, media and justice to affect an outcome.
                                                        Where Is This Sign Now?

The victim shouldn't have to do any of the heavy lifting. They are already victims.

Indifference, however, threatens success for these victims. I see it all over Facebook, except for less than handful of people, where readers are interested in reading and commenting about WOFF and victims, but stop short of activism, if not changing their profile photo and absurd political views.

Indifference has been observed in the form of those who read this blog and do absolutely nothing, yet they keep coming back for the latest scoop or commentary.

Readers of this ilk serve no purpose if they are spectators. They don't realize they can make a difference by making a call to a lawyer or a cop in their community and ask about what they could do in a situation like the one so chronicled as this.

Those are just examples. My links pages have informed many who research all things WOFF seeking to know more and to do more. Thank You for getting involved.

So, folks, what's it going to be? For three and a half years I have provided insight, resource material and commentary, at times peppered with vitriol and a pinch of levity. What can you do with this information?

All of the suggestions involving Federal Agencies are the direct result of understanding the goings on in the past AND present with day to day WOFF life. Someone who has experienced or suspected in having their mail or phone conversations monitored, have a link for that.

There are links for bankruptcy, medical, legal, civil, criminal, etc. published on previous WW blogs. Google them!

Perhaps you know of a victim. How can you help?

You have cameras on your phones, you know how to use the internet, you can read, you can think,, you can make phone calls, you know people, you know people who know people.....

And so on.

I have asked readers to get off of their minimally exercised surpluses before and I am saying it now.

DO SOMETHING.

VICTIMS: you have been through the worst. Now it's your turn to seek justice. Enough of us care about you to see it through with you.

Let's help these people
